To prevent Windows from rearranging the icons, you should try out DesktopOK 4.36, a freeware developed by a company called SoftwareOK (developer of Q-Dir file manager).
Because of this drawback, users may lose the desktop icons positions may change if their computer is affected by a virus or when the screen resolution changes. The Windows OS doesn’t allow users to save the desktop layout.
